This year’s 14th annual International Logistics Conference has traditionally filled the capacity of the entire Prague Břevnov Monastery, bringing in 700 participants from 11 countries around the world from all fields of human activity across the entire supply chain. What did this year’s conference offer? This year’s SpeedCHAIN, like the ones before, confirmed that it represents a unique professional and social meeting while offering a wide range of premium speakers, current topics, escalating panel discussions, a rich social program and unique atmosphere enhanced by the genius loci of the historical premises of the Břevnov Monastery.

The opening of this year’s SpeedCHAIN conference took place in two parallel sections; The one dedicated to the economic context of world economy development and technologies that are gradually transforming the supply chain in line with the implementation of Industry 4.0 principles. started by Lukáš Kovanda, Ph.D., chief economist of Czech Fund. The imaginary excavation of a section accentuating topics connected with city logistics was secured by Dr. Thomas Wimmer, Executive Director of BVL – Europe’s most influential association consorting German manufacturing and logistics companies. He evaluated his performance by saying: “SpeedCHAIN is preceded by a great reputation. This year’s attendance at the capacity limit of the Břevnov Monastery, program variety, completely filled halls in two, respectively three parallel sections, top performers, attractive topics, fruitful negotiations and of course a lot of great people – all this has convinced me that this is a truly exceptional event”. The Gala Evening VIP Logistic Rendezvous brought two key awards alongside the traditionally great banquet and music production of Leona Machálková – the first of which was the introduction of Ing. Jiří Cee, Logistics Manager of ŠKODA Auto to the Logistics Hall of Fame, the second being a prize for contribution to the harmonization of the supply chain development for GS1 Czech Republic. The 2019 SpeedCHAIN featured speeches of 65 speakers and the entire conference was supported by as many as 91 partners.
