Logistics Project of the Year 2016 Award acquired by MD logistika

This year in the Czech Republic two attractive projects fought for advancing to the European round of the prestigious contest. One of them was the New Logistics Concept – Innovation in Material and Information Flow in Brose company, the latter Hub-and-Spoke transportation system of frozen food for BILLA ČR by MD logistika s.r.o.

In accordance with the criteria EGML of European Logistics Association an expert jury chose the project by MD logistika, a.s. for advancing to the European round. Both competing projects presented very interesting solutions tailored to the specific conditions of production or goods distribution.

European Logistics Association (ELA) is the annual promoter of European Gold Medal in Logistics and Supply Chain (formerly European Award of Logistic Excellence), which is the European award for excellent logistic projects. This award is regularly promoted on European level with the aim to support and initiate innovative solutions of particular logistic projects.

Czech Logistics Association, z.s., (CLA), a member of European Logistics Association, annually announces in accordance with the conditions of this traditional Europe-wide competition for European logistic project since 2014 also the Czech national round of this prestigious competition under the name of Logistic Project of the Year.

The proof that Czech logistics has much to offer, and the motivation for those interested in participating in this competition is the fact that the projects nominated in previous years, repetitively scored. The project ŠKODA Auto has won the European Gold Medal in Logistics and project Kiekert CS was placed among the finalists for the next edition of this competition.

This year’s Logistics Project of the Year Award was handed over to Jiří Hubinka, MD logistika Commercial Director, by Miroslav Rumler, vice president of CLA, in the historical premises of Břevnov Monastery in Prague within the international logistics conference SpeedCHAIN 2016.
